Star of the week.

Our star of the week last week was Lillya.  Lillya is an all round superstar who works hard and tries her best.  In addition to this, Lillya has proved to be a fantastic friend to Florence who has recently broken a bone and is in plaster.  Well done Lillya!

I just wanted to update you on a few things.  Firstly, if you were not already aware, I will be joining the Year 2 residential trip to Llandudno from Wednesday 15th June to Friday 17th June.  Whilst I am away, Mrs Carter will be teaching the class with support from Miss Beckley and Miss Cornes.  The teaching and learning activities for this time have been planned and resourced ready.  Mrs Morris will also spend a morning teaching in Reception.  The children are very excited about this and this will start the transition process for them moving to Year 1.

I have not forgotten about our marble jar being full.  The children have voted for a dressing up day in school.  I will confirm the date for this shortly.

As part of our topic on Food, I am currently trying to arrange a visit for Reception and Year 1 to Cadbury’s World in Birmingham.  This has been provisionally booked for Tuesday 12th July.  If the trip in financially viable, I will send home a separate letter with all additional information.
