Star of the week.

Our star of the week this week is Elena.  Elena works hard when asked to complete any activity.  She quietly gets on with things and is proud of the work that she produces.  Elena’s hard work has really paid off this year.  She has made amazing progress in all areas of learning.  Well done Elena.

Goodbye and thank you!

Tomorrow will unfortunately be my last day at Weaver and in Reception. My 10 week placement has come to an end as I head back to University. All I can say is what an absolute pleasure it has been to teach such a wonderful and caring group of children. You all put a smile on my face every morning when you came into school and every one of you has given me immeasurable joy. I will never forget the wonderful memories that this Reception class has given me. I wish all of you the very best in your education and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your very special lives.

Star of the week.

Our star of the week this week is Lily.  Lily works hard and gives her best to all that she does.  This week has seen Lily produce some amazing Maths work.  Not only was she able to calculate one more and one less than any number up to 100, but she extended this to calculating 10 more than a given number.  At first she used a 100 square to support her, then she went on to do these calculations mentally; even in assembly in front of the whole school.  Well done Lily!
