Ethan’s school jumper has gone missing. Please can you check at home to see if it has found its way to your house? Thank you.
Today Mrs C came into school to read a story to us. The book that she read was called, ‘The Big Wide-mouthed Frog’. This story was chosen because it has lots of animals in it that are found in Australia. Did you know it was Australia day on Monday? Mrs C and her family used to live in Australia and she was able to talk to us in detail about the animals. She even had a toy kangaroo and a blow up crocodile with her! While Mrs C was with us, we were able to ask her lots of questions about her experiences of Australia. Thank you Mrs C for reading to us today.
Our star of the week this week is Jessica. Jessica absolutely delights in all that we do in school. She is very independent and extremely helpful. This has been shown over the last two weeks when our four trainee teachers have been working in the Reception class. Well done Jessica!
Following on nicely from the story ‘The Gruffalo’ when we went into our wooded area today, we found a letter from Mr Fox. The letter told us that he had seen some fairies and some elves in the woods at night. The fairies and elves had told Mr Fox that they would like a tea party, but they didn’t have the things needed. They were asking if we could create a tea party for them.
We did just that. We used the mud kitchen and all of the natural objects in the woods. We worked together as well as on our own and used our fantastic imaginations to create a most wonderful tea party.
On Wednesday we had great fun with Miss Organ-Vous and Miss Marsden! We danced to all our favourite songs including Gangnam Style and played lots of fun dancing games!
We have some brilliant new moves for our next party!
Yesterday’s mystery guest who came to read to our class was Alex’s Dad!
He read ‘Fred’ to us, which is about a little cat who is too afraid to use his catflap – but he managed to use it in the end! We really enjoyed sitting together and listening to it.
Thank you for coming to visit our class Mr Janneh!
