A message from James’ Mum.

James loved the teddy bear picnic, in PJ’s! He brought his teddy ‘Bartholemew’ with him, in SpiderMan outfit – unfortunately Bartholemew returned home naked! The outfit was from ‘build-a-bear’ workshop. Poor Bartholemew is getting chilly and sad without it!! Could I ask, has anyone seen it? Thanks!

Visit to Brookfield Park tomorrow.

Having just looked at the weather forecast for tomorrow, it is looking unlikely that our park visit will go ahead. If the visit has to be cancelled I will inform you by text and by putting it on the blog in the morning. The children have asked to come in their pyjamas if they are not going to the park! They also need to remember to bring a teddy.

Star of the week.

Our star of the week this week is Phoebe. Phoebe is a sensible girl who has lots of friends. She is polite and loves to please. Phoebe works hard and enjoys her lessons. She is always looking at ways to extend her learning. Well done Phoebe!

Minibeast Safari

Mr D very kindly came into school this afternoon to take us outside to find minibeasts. Mr D bought lots of equipment with him and we learnt how to use things such as’pooters’. Outside, we jumped up and down and sang a song to make the worms in the ground come to the surface. We were delighted and amazed when we saw a worm! We learnt about where to find minibeasts and why minibeasts are so important to our world. All of us were completely engaged in the activities and were keen to learn more. We would like to say a massive thank you to Mr D for coming in and teaching us so much today.

We have got two butterflies!

When we arrived in school this morning we were greeted with a butterfly that had hatched from its chrysalis. Then during our reading session, another one hatched. Holly noticed it and alerted us all very excitedly. We cannot wait for the other three to emerge. Our butterflies are ‘painted ladies’.
